Recently, Attunity was pleased to announce that the growing US dental benefits provider had selected our universal data integration solution, Attunity Replicate, as its strategic enterprise data ingest and replication platform. The Attunity software will provide Dentegra with real-time data availability and integration across its heterogeneous operational databases and analytic platforms, and is set to displace the dental insurer’s incumbent data replication technology. This initiative is expected to enable Dentegra to accelerate business solutions while reducing IT costs and labor.
Today, Attunity is thrilled to announce the availability of Attunity Compose for Amazon Redshift, a new and innovative solution for automating and accelerating data warehousing and ETL in the AWS cloud!
This past week, Decisionworx, in collaboration with The Bloor Group, published their findings from their ‘Hadoop in Transition, From Proof-of-Concept to Production’ survey 1 . The final analysis reports some interesting findings and may or may not surprise some readers who have been keeping up with the state of Hadoop adoption.

The Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) is made up of billions of devices that are collecting and transmitting data to support one of the fastest-growing areas in global business – Big Data. In fact, a recent IDC forecast shows that the Big Data technology and services market will grow to $41.5 billion through 2018 or about six times the growth rate of the overall information technology market.
Do you, like many of us, remember The Jetsons ? It was a popular cartoon produced in the US in the 60s and syndicated in the ‘70s and ‘80s - Hanna-Barbera's Space Age counterpart to The Flintstones . One of the first shows produced in color on ABC, the animated program was based on a family living in a futuristic world comprised of robotic contraptions and otherwise smart devices. It was presumed that the show was set in the 2000s.
It was a wild couple of days, but we survived Strata + Hadoop World – and what a show it was! Having attended for a few years now, it was great to see how it’s grown over time and how Hadoop has evolved from proof of concept to full-on deployment. The traffic was phenomenal and kept the Attunity team busy for two days straight. We were also thrilled to have Booster the Elephant join us to help us #BoostHadoop !
